Definition of Swagbucks

 SWAG

If you are new to Swagbucks, here is a fast overview to help you get the most out of your Swagbucks experience.

Definition of Swagbucks

Swagbucks is an online rewards program. You can earn Swagbucks by searching the web with the Swagbucks Toolbar, entering Swagcodes from the SwagBlog, SwagFacebook, or SwagTwitter sites, and some other random activities like watching videos or entering your birthday. Once you accumulate 450 Swagbucks, you can redeem it for a $5 Amazon gift card, as well as for other gift cards from Target, Starbucks, Southwest Airlines, and more.

Top 10 Ways to Earn Swagbucks

Read a series of posts I did on how to optimize your Swagbucks earning potential:

Or if you are short on time, here are the tools you’ll need to earn Swagbucks faster.

Swagbucks Toolbar

The Swagbucks Tool Bar makes it easier to accumulate Swagbucks.

First, the toolbar does not slow down your internet or make you computer go all WONKY.

Second, you will earn at least 1 Swagbuck each day by opening your browser. Also, the toolbar makes it easier to get messages from “The Swag Guy” when there are codes available.

And finally, it allows you to do searches every now and again that can earn you Swagbucks. Like just now when I was typing this post, I searched Big Boned Women (it’s all about the honesty here) and was rewarded with six Swagbucks.

Downloading the Toolbar

Step #1: Log in to your Swagbucks account.

Step #2: Click the Toolbars tab on the left side of the page.

Step #3: Click the big purple box that says “DOWNLOAD”.

Step #4: Choose if you want to use Swagbucks as your default browser. I don’t have it as my default browser – but know lots of people that do.

Step #5: Start searching.

Sign Up for Swagbucks

But you can’t earn, unless you sign up for Swagbucks. Sign up today and earn 30 Swagbucks just because you are you.

Even better, convince some of your other friends to sign up under you – and you’ll earn while they earn Swagbucks too.

2014 Dirty Dozen & Clean 15 Fruits And Vegetable List

CLEAN15

The EWG has released the new 2014 Dirty Dozen & Clean 15 Fruits and Vegetable List. (Click here for the list.)

Produce is expensive. Period. And I find this handy guide/list helps you know where to invest in organic and where it is okay to buy conventional produce.

The produce items on the Dirty Dozen tend to have the highest level of pesticide residue (regardless of the produce being washed or peeled). In a nutshell, these items are the ones you should focus on buying “organic”.

The items on the Clean 15 list have the least amount of pesticide residue, and while you can choose to purchase organic, it is considered safe to buy conventional.

2014 Dirty Dozen Fruits & Vegetables

  • Apples
  • Strawberries
  • Grapes
  • Celery
  • Peaches
  • Spinach
  • Sweet Bell Peppers
  • Nectarines (imported)
  • Cucumbers
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Snap Peas (imported)
  • Potatoes

Other items to purchase organic as often as possible include hot peppers and kale and collared greens.

2014 Clean 15 Fruits and Vegetable List

  • Avocados
  • Sweet Corn
  • Pineapple
  • Cabbage
  • Sweet Peas (Frozen)
  • Onions
  • Asparagus
  • Mangoes
  • Papayas
  • Kiwi
  • Eggplant
  • Grapefruit
  • Cantaloupe
  • Cauliflower
  • Sweet Potatoes

If you are looking for an affordable way to afford organic produce, you should check out Door to Door Organics. (I have an exclusive Door to Door Organics Coupon Code to get you 50% off your first box.)

In addition, there are other resources on the site about organic produce and tips to make the most of it:

Best Books About Saving Money, Investing, Debt Reduction & Simple Living

SAVINGMONEYDEBT REDUCTION

Type in “Books About Saving Money” on Amazon and you will find a list over 10,000 books.

That’s overwhelming. One of the top tips I give people who are looking to save money (and want books they can read about saving money), I tell them to narrow down their interest. Too general of a book may just be a rehash of what you already know – narrowing your focus allows you to save real money in specific areas of your budget.

Also, get reviews or recommendations from friends or read the reviews on Amazon or Goodreads to see if it will be a good fit for you.

My best piece of advice is to only focus on one goal at a time. When we try to do too much, at the same time, we can be become unfocused from our original goal. So grab one book, devour it, make notes and try implementing some of their strategies into your life.

What are your favorite books about saving money?
