Printable Coupons and Your Time

 Printable Coupons and Your Time
By Tom Koziol

The old saying tells us time is money. Couponing is a perfect example. Before you can redeem your coupons you have to spend time cutting, clipping, accumulating, sorting and filing them.

Someone estimated people who are hard core couponers spend upwards to 14 to 16 hours a week couponing. It becomes akin to a part time job. Of course there are people who spend less time just as there are people who spend more time. However 14 to 16 hours seems to be the standard.

On top of the above associated activities, coupon users are still required to plan their shopping trip. All the coupons in the world are worthless if a person hasn’t planned on when and where they will use them.

Beginners who have yet to set up a personalized system probably are the ones who will initially spend more time. Even couponing requires a learning curve and a workable, easy to follow system. Honing those couponing skills requires time and effort just the same as any other field.

Couponing can be a fun and money saving hobby. However, some people have taken it to extreme and earned the label extreme couponers. These are the folks who spend what seems like every waking moment immersed in couponing.

Most of us would agree that a degree of balance is important. Devoting all or a majority of your time to couponing seems out of whack with the norm. Most of us have spouses, children, friends, neighbors, hobbies and other activities that occupy a spot on our life’s menu.

Mistreating these relationships and letting them fall out of our priorities can impair even the heartiest of relationship. After all, life isn’t only coupons. Just ask your children.

The person who manages to keep a balance and perspective on couponing and their other life activities knows there are helping hands in couponing. One of them is free printable coupons found on Internet websites.

These coupons provide a person with the opportunity to spend less time cutting and clipping and planning. All you do is print the coupons and go to the store. It can be more complicated but generally speaking it isn’t.

Like all coupons, printable coupons are free and readily available. A short web surfing adventure will take you to a number of websites with printable coupons. After you have visited a few, you will probably settle on between three and five sites for your coupons.

This adds to the time saved. You know right where to go and what you want to print. Printable coupons may not be the answer for everyone but they fill the bill for a good number of people.

A dollar saved is a dollar earned seems like a more appropriate saying given our current economic times.

One great way I know to save more than just a dollar is Coupons By The Millions [http://www.couponsbythemillions.com/].

This free guide will show how to find all the great rebates, e-bates, coupons and discounts manufacturers have to offer. Do not wait. Download your free copy of Coupons By The Millions http://www.couponsbythemillions.com/ today.

Cut the Cost of Living With Coupons

Cut the Cost of Living With Coupons
By Matt J Sandau

Everyone is always looking for different ways to make money and save money. By using coupon codes when you’re shopping online, you can save a ton of money on your everyday purchases. This isn’t just on items like clothes or toys, but you can also save big on beauty products and toiletries as well. With the current downfall in the economy, people want to save all of the money that they can. Coupon codes make buying the things that you need more affordable, and you feel better while you shop knowing that you’re saving a ton of money. There are several different methods that can be used to get the online coupon codes that are available all over the Internet, and using a few of them can be the best way to find the best deals, and to get the most rewarding codes possible.

Using a coupon code is very easy for anyone to do. The code has to be entered in somewhere during the checkout process. The computer will tell you right away if the code is valid. If the code worked, you will see the amount of money that you saved at the bottom, or sometimes right beside items. Different codes that are common to find are free shipping coupon codes, codes for a certain percentage off a purchase, or codes for spend so much money get a specific amount off your purchase. These are easy to use, and they can really save you a lot of money. If an item that you want to buy is already on sale at 15% off, and you have a 20% off coupon code, you are going to save 35% total. For a $50.00 purchase you’re going to save $17.50. That is a lot of money, and people really shop around to see where they can get the most for their dollar.

The first way to get coupon codes is to go to the company website, and sign up for their emailing alert list. The company will send you an email every so often with a notification of sales or promotions going on, and also with coupon codes to use when you check out. These coupons will come over time, and you can use them when you see them. Some websites will have codes displayed on the site. Be sure to remember that you were intending on using a code to checkout with. If you forget, the site isn’t going to remind you to enter your code. There are several couponing sites on the Internet that only talk about couponing. The sites feature printable coupons and coupon codes, along with sale alerts. Type in the name of your favorite store at one of these sites, and see what different coupons are available.

People often also like to share coupon codes. Stores will send out coupon codes to customers who spend a certain amount of money in their stores, or customers who have recently made a purchase. The customers who get these codes will post them in forums so others can also use them while checking out. If you are shopping online and leave some items in your cart without going through with the transaction, the site may send you and email offering you a promo code to persuade you to follow through with the purchase. Sharing these types of codes is helpful as well. For those who like to shop in store, be sure to save all of your receipts. On printed receipts you can easily find coupon codes for your next visit in the store, or to use on the Internet shopping.

Using codes can save you a lot of money throughout the year on a variety of items. Shopping online at a discount paper products manufacturer can be very affordable if you have a free shipping coupon. This would allow you to get supplies like paper plates and toiletries to last for several months at extremely low prices, and the items are delivered directly to your door. Large wholesalers often have coupon codes for new memberships, or coupons for free memberships as well.

If the cost of living has got you down, use coupons to get back on your feet. The money that you can save during one trip to the store using coupons can be enough to make a difference in your everyday life. Coupons can be used in thousands of stores around the globe, and you can start using coupons right away to see an immediate difference in your shopping bill.

Matt is a specialist in online deals and savings. Using coupon codes to combine savings during your checkout process can save the average family of four over $2,000 per year. Focusing on finding the best deals and using thrifty websites benefits everyone involved.

Ways to Organize Your Coupons

By Helena Ricketts

There is no right or wrong way to organize large number of coupons. Some couponers use binders while others choose to use boxes with tab dividers. There are even some that choose to not clip anything, keeping their coupon inserts whole until there is a sale advertised for an item they have a coupon for. Organization is extremely important and the method that couponers choose is as varied as the type of coupons people collect.

Coupon Binders

This method of organization is the one that you see the most on the TLC television show Extreme Couponing. A lot of the couponers on this show choose this method because no matter how the binder is carried, the coupons will usually stay in place inside the binder. They are easy to put together and the supplies needed to start one are fairly inexpensive.

It is easy to create a coupon binder. The only things that you will need are the binder, clear plastic baseball card protector sheets and dividers to create your categories. Decide what your specific categories are, put the binder together leaving plenty of pages in each category and slide the coupons into the pages. Be sure to have enough pages that each coupon has their own space. You should be able to view each individual one when turning the pages because a coupon slid behind another one may be forgotten or missed.

Coupon Boxes

You will see this type of organization on occasion but it doesn’t seem to be as popular as the binder. It’s exactly like it sounds; it is a box full of coupons. The box can be just about anything including recipe boxes, small tool boxes, shoe boxes or a plastic storage box. This type of organization is easy to put together and use but if the box is ever dropped, it can feel like a tragic moment watching the coupons spill out and scatter.

Choose the box you want to use for organizing your coupons. You will need something to use as a divider for the categories of coupons that you have. Index cards work well for this type of organization. Cut one card in half and staple it to another one leaving a raised tab at the top where the category can be written in. You can have as many or as few categories as you want with this method of organization. Once your coupons are filed into their categories, the box is ready to go with you on your shopping trip.

Clip As You Go

A lot of couponing experts show this method of organization for coupons but I personally find it unreliable for a few reasons. One is that you will miss out on a lot of opportunities because the majority of your coupon collection is not at the store with you. Another reason is that it takes a lot of time to go through all of the store ads and try to do the matchups that are specifically for your area and may have been missed by the site or sites that you use to see what the best deal is for that week. When you have all of your coupons with you, it is not necessary to do your own matchups. You see the item on sale at the store and can immediately pull your coupon out of your box or binder if you have everything with you.

If you choose this method of organization, you will need a space to store all of your uncut inserts. Remember to put the date on the outside of the insert as you acquire them so you can easily find the insert that contains the coupon that you want to clip. It can be frustrating trying to sift through two months of undated inserts to locate one specific coupon.

No matter which form of coupon organization you choose, it is important to choose one! Successful couponers know that saving starts with organization. Learning how to coupon takes a little time and the more organized and ready you are for that sale, the more successful you will be when it comes to check out time.

Great Tips On How To Use Coupons!

By Charles Brendon
You might not know this, but a lot of people are saving a lot of money by using coupons. You may not notice those coupons, but do you know how much money you could have saved? This article can help you appreciate coupons by providing some great tips for making the most of them. Read on!

You can use more than one coupon when you are making a purchase, it just has to be of a different item most of the time. Read the fine print to be sure of this, but in theory, you should be able to use a coupon for almost everything that you buy if there’s a coupon for it.

When grocery shopping with a lot of coupons, don’t visit the store at peak hours. This frustrates not only those waiting behind you in line, but extra-busy cashiers and baggers, as well. You are less likely to inconvenience other shoppers or the store staff during slower times, like weekday mornings.

Figure out a good organization system. If you don’t have your coupons in the right order, some may expire before you get a chance to use them. Consider purchasing a few baseball card holders and putting them in a book. This will help you clearly see your coupons and allow you to grab and go when necessary.

Have a large and a small coupon organizer. A large organizer can be used to store all of your coupons in one, easy to find location. A second, smaller container lets you pull out the coupons you will need for that particular shopping trip, keeping them organized and within easy reach while at the store.

Make sure that you pay close attention the expiration date on coupons you are interested in using. If you save them for too long, you may miss the opportunity to use them. It is a good idea to set a reminder in your calendar about a week or two before it expires.

Plan your shopping trips thoroughly. Sometimes, you are going to have a stack of coupons good at a store that is not your usual stop. Definitely go there if the amount of money you are going to save is worth it. However, in determining if it is worth it, factor in your extra driving time as well as your gas usage.

Before you buy anything, look for a coupon. Oftentimes, there are coupons available online that are not advertised elsewhere. Use a search engine to see if there is a coupon you can print for that next purchase. Do this even if that purchase is small. Even the small savings add up quickly.

Read the fine print for all the coupons that you use. You do not need to be embarrassed in line when you are trying to use coupons. A simple read can help you figure out if there is anything you should consider when you are going to buy anything with a coupon.

A great tip for anyone who uses coupons regularly is to keep them organized. Try keeping them in a binder and arrange them in a way that makes sense to you so that you will be able to find any coupon you need at any time with very little effort.

Shop around at the different stores in your neighborhood. Each store will have their own rotation of specials and in store sales. As you learn the patterns at each store, you will become more efficient at finding deals. Remember to check the specials regularly, because stores will change their patterns from time to time.

Coupons are always a good thing to try and use. Make sure that you try your best to use as many coupons as possible. If you play it right then you will start to save a bunch of money whenever you go out and buy things, good luck from here on out.
